Tattoo

What to expect:

Itching, Swelling, Bleeding, and bruising may occur in the first two weeks. Flaking/Peeling like a sunburn will occur and is normal. (A secondary peeling may occur). Healing takes about 2-3 weeks. If needed, touch up can be scheduled after 4 weeks, but no later than 4 months.

Cleaning your Tattoo:

Wash hands thoroughly before tending to your healing tattoo. If tattoo-derm was applied, wait 2-3 days before removing. (Fluid build up is normal) Remove tattoo-derm gently by stretching wrap parallel to skin surface and slowly fold away from tattoo. If any other bandage was used, remove no later than 2-3 hours after placed. (Remove under running water if bandage is stuck to skin) Wash your tattoo with warm water and unscented anti-bacterial soap. (Gold Dial) Gently clean and remove residue 2-3 times a day and pat dry with paper towel or let air dry. Apply a thin amount of Lubriderm, Curel, or fragrance/petroleum free moisturizing lotion for two weeks or until healed.

Safety and Recommendations

Do not submerge in bodies of water, pools, hot tubs, bath tubs. Keep out of the sun. (Once healed apply sunblock to protect color) Wear loose clothes over tattooed area while healing.

Piercing

What to expect:

Swelling, Bruising and/or tender for a few weeks. Spotting/Bleeding for the first few weeks. A small amount of redness, itching and irritation may occur during healing process. Discharge, whitish-yellow in color, to be cleaning daily.

Cleaning your Piercing

Wash your hands before cleaning. Use sterile saline/wound wash solution such as Neilmed. Spray directly onto piercing, Q-tip, jewelry and piercing location. Clean 2-3 times daily for the first 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks clean 1 time daily until fully healed. When showering, run water over pierced area, cleaning all residues including soaps. While cleaning your piercing, check that threaded jewelry is screwed on tight.

Safety and Recommendations

Keep all bedding sanitized. Do not touch or play with jewelry. Side sleepers use a travel/piercing pillow, try not to sleep directly on piercing. Do not submerge your piercing in bodies of water, pools, hot tubs, bath tubs. Do not use the following products on piercing. Alcohol, Peroxide, Tea tree oil, or any botanical, Bacitracin/Neosporin or any petroleum based products ETC…

Cleaning Oral Piercing

Rinse 2-3 times a day with an alcohol free mouthwash. Rinse clean water after eating and drinking. Purchase a new toothbrush and take care while brushing your teeth.

Safety and Recommendations

No kissing/oral contact of any kind or smoking during healing process. Caution when eating or drinking hot, spicy, salty, or acidic food.
